If you have a current library card at any of these local libraries, you may qualify for a DAP (Direct Access Program) card, which you can then use to check out materials from many public, academic, and special libraries in the greater capital region, including Siena College. To obtain a DAP card, please contact your local library and inquire. Once your library provides you with a DAP card, you may then use it to check out Siena materials in a limited capacity.

Library Guest Use Policies

The Standish Library welcomes guests to use library collections and services when consistent with library priorities. Services to guests of the Standish Library may include use of library computers, access to research materials for in-house use, and reference assistance. Reference Librarians and Circulation Staff may grant access to designated guest computers for a maximum of two hours per day; extensions will be granted at the discretion of library personnel, and are dependant on availability. All guests who wish to use library computers are required to comply with the Siena College Acceptable Use Policy, and sign the Guest Computer Access Sign-In Sheet each time a computer is assigned.

As stated in our mission statement, "The central role of the library is to enhance the educational process by providing resources and instructional services in support of the curricular and research needs of students and faculty.” Serving the Siena student population is the library’s first priority. Guests may not use library computers if library personnel determines that they are needed for Siena students, faculty, and staff.
