Limit results to Books

For any books available in print, in the building select 'Held by library'

What to consider when selecting books:

  • Currency--development happens fast--make sure you have a book that is relevant!
  • Author--who is the person? What are their credentials to write such a book?
  • Publisher--does the publisher specialize in the subject? Are they well known? Self-published?
  • Completeness/Accuracy--Will the book give you want you need? Are the examples relevant, accurate and complete?
  • Availability--is it readily available? What formats?
  • Multiple editions--If a book has multiple editions that usually means it's a got a good thing going.

Select one option at a time. Begin with ConnectNY. ConnectNY will search a group of college libraries across New York State. WorldCat will search most books ever published so it can get overwhelming quickly. It it recommended to work with a Librarian to use WorldCat for the first time.
