Information for Faculty: Course Reserves

Submit Your Request Online

All Requests for Reserves materials must be submitted by using the Request Form below.

  • Please note that this form is intended for materials already owned by the library, or personal copies that the faculty provides. 
  • Check the library's collections on our website to locate item. If the library does not own a copy, and you would like to suggest that we purchase the material, please send us a completed Purchase Request Form.
  • The library does not purchase textbooks for Course Reserves.

Reserves Policies

The Circulation Department handles reserve requests, both physical and digital. 

  • Reserves are shelved behind the Circulation desk, and check out for 2 hours (textual) or 3 hours (media) to help ensure that all students enrolled in a course have fair access. 
  • If the materials belong to you, please bring them to the Circulation desk for processing. If the materials are owned by the library, we are available to pull them for you.
  • Faculty must submit a new reserve request each semester that the material is needed - reserves do not automatically renew at the beginning of each term.
  • If you have supplied us with a personal copy that is no longer needed for reserve, please arrange to retrieve the materials at your earliest convenience or ask us to mail them to your office. The library is not responsible for personal copies that have not been claimed.
