Course Guide for POSC 339 Honors

About This Guide

This guide has been created with the Politics of Clothing [POSC 339, Honors] student in mind. It provides tools to assist in researching the political, socio-economic, and environmental aspects of fast fashion production, clothing preferences, cultural norms, and sustainability efforts.

This guide is a collaborative effort between the Standish Library and students in the course. Therefore, it contains information specific to researching the topic, as well as information that the students wish to share regarding community impact and marketing of student-run websites, organizations, and events designed to increase awareness.

The graphic below illustrates the need for a holistic approach in dealing with sustainability issues. This guide attempts to look at the issue from all angles to propose innovative solutions that are good for people and the planet.
