The Politics of Clothing : Student Selected Resources

Course Guide for POSC 339 Honors

About Student Selected Resources

The  Fall 2025 research cohort of The Politics of Clothing class was tasked with finding relevant sources to share with their classmates. The information and resources would be used in six informative posters that promote the Siena Free Use Closet event, a student-run initiative encouraging the Siena University community to think more sustainably about clothing.

Use the dropdowns above to see what students recommended for inclusion on the posters.

Special Note: These pages could not have been created without the diligent efforts of the following students: Alyssa Kenny ('26), Marcus Homa ('27), Marissa Navarra ('26), and Nicholas Palmer ('27).

  • The graphic below was chosen by one of the students to highlight the culture of consumerism that contributes to the perpetuation of human exploitation and environmental issues.
