About the Latinx Literature Guide

This guide covers the literature of authors living in the United States whose heritage is from the Spanish-speaking countries of the Caribbean and Latin America, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.  Most, but not all, of the authors write and publish in English.

Latinx Literature Course Offered at Siena College

From the Siena College Catalog

ENGL 271 - Latinx Literature: This course surveys Latinx literature written in English. Students will be introduced to Latinx poetry, fiction, drama, and nonfiction prose. Latinx literature will be examined within the context of American literature, and as a unique literary movement. Attention will be given to historical and social contexts and their impacts upon Latinx literary tradition. Same as MULT 335 and ENGL 376. (ATTR: ARTS, CAL, AMSC, ALST, LTAM, MULT, CFD)
