Standish Library is a proud member of the Sustainable Libraries Initiative. The SLI provides support and guidance to libraries looking to enhance sustainability efforts using a triple-bottom line approach which consists of being environmentally sound, socially equitable and economically feasible.
Standish Library is committed to advancing sustainability using this philosophy. In addition, we are working to become a certified sustainable library through the SLI program.
Standish Library is working to become a certified sustainable library through the Sustainable Library Initiative's Certification Program. This is no small task but a dedicated group, our Sustainability Committee, is working to achieve this goal.
