Peer Tutoring in Writing (WRIT--240)

The International Writing Centers Association, a National Council of Teachers of English affiliate founded in 1983, fosters the development of writing center directors, tutors, and staff by sponsoring meetings, publications, and other professional activities; by encouraging scholarship connected to writing center-related fields; and by providing an international forum for writing center concerns. The MLA Style Center supplements, and in some cases enhances, information found in the MLA Handbook. Topics include how to format a research paper, works-cited lists, and in-text citations. "Ask MLA," is a list of frequently asked questions, some of which are not easily answered using the manual.
