The Bluefire Reader is no longer supported and available. The vendors are looking to see if something else can be done for offline downloads. Remember you can still read online and download "chunks" of a book as a pdf. If a title is DRM-free you should be able to download the pdf without issue. You can still download to your PC or Mac with the Adobe Digital Editions software.
In order to download ebooks to your desktop or laptop you much first have Adobe Digital Editions on your machine. This is freely available. For Siena machines, you may have to request the download via ITS.
You may want to create an Adobe ID if you plan on transferring ebooks to portable devices. It is not required for downloading to a computer.
See ProQuest's help guide for tutorials and other information regarding downloading ebrary ebooks.
